Explanation

So I think it’s maybe time that I maybe explain something from an earlier post, maybe. I put up a few pics as “previews” for what might be ahead on my blog. I got a few questions about the one where I am hanging above a pool. It’s a fish eye lens, shot from the front seat of a helicopter (see below).

Chile Heli Drop

We were down in Chile for a shoot with Spyder and Warren Miller. It was a bad snow year down there, to say the least, so we came up with a plan to work around the problem. We created some scenarios and tried to fit them all together somehow into a story. The ideas included; tumbling down stairs in full ski gear, running past Julia Mancuso sunbathing, bomb dropping off of a balcony, and as you can see, dropping from a heli into the hotel pool! I can’t wait to see the final outcome, and I hope you’ll watch it in the upcoming Warren Miller film. There will be plenty of skiing, so don’t worry.

On another note, Dew Tour at Snow Basin in Utah has begun! Today was the first day of practice. I am exhausted, but tomorrow I’m going to work on those tricks that mentioned in my last post. Fingers crossed. Laser-beam focus! Sorta!

Here is another photo from Chile. Fun in the almost sun!
