Just got to Mammoth for the annual Monster shoot with the boys. So far so good! The jump looks fun. It’s shorter than Alyeska’s jump was, but looks really poppy. We checked it out earlier. They are going to take a little kick off of it so we can be sure to make the landing when we test ‘er out tomorrow morning. If it’s good, we get to session in the afternoon. I’ve never done a shoot with the any of the boys here so I’m pumped to watch them throw down in person!

We're going to be really high in the air on this one.

So many beds. I think our condo sleeps 30.

Giro Concert

Went to a concert last night for a Radio Shack cycling event or something. It was really good. Big Boi played, but he wasn’t the best part. There was a band called Ghostland Observatory that was awesome to watch. Great show.

Ghostland. Lasers. Really tall women. It's all there...

We’re done! Today I am headed out in the heli to get some fun shots for my MSP segment. Jacob Wester posted a nice little vid from the shoot, so here it is. He has some words in his blog as well. http://www.freeride.se/jacobwester/

Alyeska Jump Session 1

Tonight was one of the most fun nights I have had in a while. The sun doesn’t go down until around 10 here in Alaska, so we jumped for about 4 hours. I hope you will all go see the shots in this year’s MSP film when it comes out in the fall. Here are some small vids and pics. One video is a bit shaky, but it’s hard to film well with an iPhone at 50 miles per hour. I wanted to show the feeling of coming into the jump. It’s big.

The view when we got down to Castle Grayskull at 11pm. Late night.

And to top it all off, today is Richard Permin's Birthday! Happy Day.

Hopefully I can snag some photos and vids from Jacob. He was hitting the jump for a while, but also got some legit shots with his cameras. (7D and iPhone)

Alaska

Pretty uneventful in Alaska so far. Here is a video of the jump being made. It’s about 90 feet to the landing, which means we’ll go about 100′ to 110′. Another few pictures included as well. Hopefully, we can hit this thing and get out of here by Thursday. Tomorrow is supposed to be good weather, but today is cloudy again. We hit the jump yesterday in flat light just to test it out and it’s great. I’ll put a little vid up when the heli gets up and flying tomorrow.
Woo!

Getting Interviewed. This is my view. Nate-Dog, Murray, and Guillaume

Hmm...I thought this was Julia. But I guess not.

The brilliant cinematographer on the trip. He hung from the heli like a champ.
